How much does an HDB resale renovation cost in Singapore?

Should I hack everything in an HDB resale flat?
Not necessarily. A good resale renovation starts by deciding what is worth keeping and what is preventing the home from working well. Some existing elements may be reusable, while others may need to be removed because of condition, layout or design requirements. Can you change the layout of an HDB resale flat?
Potentially, subject to HDB requirements and the existing structure of the flat. Layout changes can include rethinking room relationships, openings, storage zones and how living, dining or kitchen spaces connect. We assess the existing plan before recommending changes so the new layout improves how the home functions rather than changing walls for the sake of it.
How long does an HDB resale renovation take?
The timeline depends on the condition of the flat, demolition required, design complexity, carpentry and the overall renovation scope. A resale project with extensive replacement work will generally require more coordination than a light refresh. Once the design and scope are confirmed, a project programme can be established. Can you keep some existing carpentry or flooring?
Yes, where the condition, design and practical value make sense. Retaining selected elements can be a good decision when they genuinely contribute to the new home. We assess them as part of the complete design rather than assuming everything must stay or everything must go.
