Design the ritual around the table.

Why a well-planned dining room changes more than the room
In a Singapore home, the dining room rarely works in isolation. It influences neighbouring rooms, circulation and the routines that happen around it.
When meals, hosting, circulation and visual connection to the kitchen and living room, small planning decisions become noticeable every day. We resolve those practical relationships first so the design feels effortless rather than simply finished.

A dining space can do more than hold a table.
How we design a dining room that actually works
What we consider before designing your dining room
- Table size and chair clearance
- Route to kitchen
- Pendant position and height
- Hosting capacity
- Display and serving storage
- Views and adjacency to living areas
These priorities are reviewed against the actual property, existing services and renovation scope before the design direction is finalised.
Your Plans!
Leave room for the chairs when people are actually sitting.
Choose the dining table after measuring the circulation around it, not before. The space needed for chairs to pull out comfortably is often underestimated.
We also look at the route between the kitchen and table. A dining area that photographs well but interrupts everyday movement will quickly become frustrating.
